Bands In My Bedroom are a mini company based in Newbridge, Co.Kildare, who aim to provide exposure for local bands/artists by uploading videos, photos, interviews and mp3 recordings of them on to their website: www.bandsinmybedroom.com, where they can be viewed by the world.
The site has had 22,000 hits since the beginning of January 2010 and has attracted a lot of local attention from groups such as the Culture Factory, as well as the bands themselves.
Bands In My Bedroom are now through to the last 8 of the Junior Achievement competition, which will take place on the 19th of April in the RDS, as well as the county finals of the Kildare County Enterprise Competition, which will take place in the Osprey hotel, Naas, on the 25th of March. Bands In My Bedroom are now in the process of producing a compilation Cd of the bands who have played in the bedroom up to now, which will be sold for 5 euro in shops around the Newbridge area and beyond. They also plan to sell compilation dvd’s, t-shirts and to have a few freebies on the website for download.
