Students of FCJ present a cheque to Monica Burns of GOAL
A ‘Jersey Day’ was held recently in the F.C.J Bunclody, Co. Wexford, to raise vital funds for Haiti and The Irish Cancer Society.
Students and teachers were asked to con tribute €3 to the event if they were willing to participate. It was a huge success as they collected a grand total of € 2300.
A cheque worth €1800 presented to Monica Burns, a GOALIE (GOAL representative) by the Student Council, for the Haiti fund. Monica gave a wonderful presentation to the Student Body about the work and commitments of GOAL .
A second cheque was presented to Bobby Redmond, who hails from Oulart, Co. Wexford. A cheque to the value of €500 was presented to Bobby for his participation in the London Marathon in support of The Irish Cancer Society
